This training sword resembles well-known patterns from 16th and 17th century Europe. Such a simulator is commonly called Feder. This type of long training sword is known for its characteristic shape and a blade with a rounded tip.
Both ladies and gentlemen can wield it, regardless of their skill level. It is a longsword, so it will be useful in the training room when learning how to use a federschwert type of sword.
The sword is made of black, durable plastic. The handle is braided with a black string. The guard and the pommel remain silver.
The Synthetic Feder consists of three parts: hilt, cross-guard and blade. The pommel is made of metal, in the shape of a round medallion. The guard is simple, without decorations, it is made of galvanized steel. Synthetic black material was used in the production of the blade. Its end is rounded and has a flexible design. The hilt has been specially profiled, densely coated with a braided string and fixed with resin.
The simulator is slightly lighter than its steel version, but feels the same way. It is comfortable to use and its shape is adapted to the requirements of the most experienced HEMAists. It is suitable for training, regardless of the level of advancement.
