Traveling through a world brimming with cinematic inspiration, we couldn't help but notice that you've been eagerly awaiting this moment for quite some time. We’ve just received a request about the possibility of recreating one of the most terrifying and Force-endowed characters that has graced the screens of cinemas (and beyond) since the 1970s. Of course, in a Newtonian version.

We're talking about Lord Vader, who was the apprentice of the Emperor and the most powerful Sith - Darth Sidious. The Emperor "saved" or, as some might say, "repaired" the young and wrathful Jedi after his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Along the way, he took care of his impressive attire and armor, which not only protected him from external adversaries but also served vital life-sustaining functions.

But what does this mean for us? It means that in collaboration with our client, we decided to create a jacket that, at first glance, evokes the dark side of the Force.

Through the Galaxy… in a Doublet 

As a foundation, we selected one of our best-selling jackets, the Renaissance Master Doublet, which traditionally features epaulettes on the shoulders. We altered the quilting, inspired by 16th-century fashion, into straightforward vertical seams reminiscent of those found in Lucas's saga or in comics. At the upper part, we added a black element with patches made from gray tape, alluding to Vader's distinctive chin guard. Furthermore, we replaced the short back strap with a longer one, fastened at the front – an innovation borrowed from our Imperial jacket.

It's worth noting that the entire jacket is crafted from our standard color palette, but we maintained a contrast by keeping a portion of the jacket in navy blue. We believe this doesn't hinder the identification of the inspiration behind this ensemble.

When combined with a black cloak, a suitably modified mask, and black leather gloves (e.g., Swordsman Gloves), this outfit certainly leaves a lasting impression.
