The Witcher universe enjoys unflagging popularity in various media for years, which can be seen also in requests from our customers. Even Henry Cavill leaving the Netflix project did not affect the popularity of the character, which proves that The Witcher is not only a show. But let’s get down to business!

We’re back in the universe from the CD Projekt game franchise. As you may remember, the game allows for dressing Geralt in various costumes and armors. This time we’re looking for some inspiration in this game and we are taking a closer look at maybe the most characteristic set. We’ll try to adapt it into HEMA tournament requirements.

Chainmail and leather? Well yes, but actually no

This AP 350N with the Witcher’s theme is a kind of combination of a quilted jacket with a leather breastplate. The jacket has additional “leather” inserts on sides of a torso, and the project is decorated with hand-printed inserts with a chainmail theme. More on this technique you can read HERE.

Our standard color palette can be found on quilted sleeves in gray color. The chainmail theme is placed on a dark-gray background, while the leather side gussets are imitated by the stylish brown textile. The breastplate is imitated by classic black.

Transitions between particular segments of the jacket are made of brown tape, which emphasizes the details and gives an extra spice to the whole project, especially to the pauldrons.

What about functionality? The basic features remain the same as in the standard AP model:

• 350N puncture resistance
• adjustable waistline
• double-fastening 
• mounting points for extra overlays
